ONLINE PROGRAM 2021

1-8 October 2021

ONLINE AND OFFLINE PROGRAM 2021
During the global DYSLEXIA AWARENESS WEEK, HOI Foundation and Dyslexia Font, from October 1 to 8, bring you WEEK OF DYSLEXIA. A week of inspiring online sessions on the broad picture of dyslexia for parents, teachers, experts, employers, and dyslexics themselves.
This year's theme is

‘the POWER of thinking differently’

Have you ever noticed that many of history's extraordinary artists, musicians, writers, scientists, leaders and inventors were also uniquely different? The "thinking differently" refers to the fact that dyslexics process information in their own way. They think out-of-the-box and creatively. But what is that and what can you do with it all?

We will discover this during the online events with speakers from home and abroad! A week full of enthusiasm, inspiration and positivity where you as a dyslexic will discover what you are capable of because of, not despite, your different way of thinking. But also as a teacher, parent, family member and employer, the Week of Dyslexia gives you more insights and practical tools that go beyond protocols and reading software.

Free program in Dutch

During the Dyslexia Week on Tuesday, October 5, the LBRT (National Association of Remedial Teachers) and HOI will together create a beautiful program for teachers from Primary Education on the guidance at support level 1 and 2 for children with (suspected) dyslexia.
With the help of experiences from the educational practice we especially want to provide many practical tips and tricks. The following question is central to this:
'What can I do (more) for my student, to let it become the best reader and writer it can be, full of confidence and motivation?' A must see for all teachers from grade 3 to grade 8!

PARTNERS

This year again, there have been beautiful collaborations between different organizations. This is important for the WEEK OF DYSLEXIE because the joint dissemination of knowledge about the broad picture of dyslexia and therefore attention to improving self-confidence reaches even further and has an even greater impact.
