Again this year during Dyslexia Week, Parent Association Balans, Impuls&Woortblind and HOI Foundation are hosting the free program for dyslexics, parents, teachers, employers and anyone else who wants to know more about the broad picture of dyslexia. The evening will be kicked off by the fantastic Jonathan Mooney, author of the book; Normal Sucks. This will be followed by a panel of experts from the three organizations. They will discuss a number of statements that are important for dyslexics. Online visitors can respond to the statements and share their experiences. Don’t miss it!
ONLINE PROGRAM 2021
ONLINE AND OFFLINE PROGRAM 2021
During the global DYSLEXIA AWARENESS WEEK, HOI Foundation and Dyslexia Font, from October 1 to 8, bring you WEEK OF DYSLEXIA. A week of inspiring online sessions on the broad picture of dyslexia for parents, teachers, experts, employers, and dyslexics themselves.
This year's theme is
‘the POWER of thinking differently’
Have you ever noticed that many of history's extraordinary artists, musicians, writers, scientists, leaders and inventors were also uniquely different? The "thinking differently" refers to the fact that dyslexics process information in their own way. They think out-of-the-box and creatively. But what is that and what can you do with it all?
We will discover this during the online events with speakers from home and abroad! A week full of enthusiasm, inspiration and positivity where you as a dyslexic will discover what you are capable of because of, not despite, your different way of thinking. But also as a teacher, parent, family member and employer, the Week of Dyslexia gives you more insights and practical tools that go beyond protocols and reading software.
